Girls Aloud vs Alesha Dixon

The new singles from Girls Aloud and former Mis-teeq MC Alesha Dixon are both Xenomiania productions. Brian Higgins, Miranda Cooper and the team down there in Kent are the UK’s permier pop producers at this time and it will be interesting to see how these two 60s-tinged efforts do in the chart head-to-head, considering the proximity of the two singles’ releases.

Both songs have, this weekend, had their live UK TV debuts. Girls Aloud performed “The Promise” on the X-Factor – hardly surprising considering that Cheryl Cole is a judge on the show …
